Western Australian Wildflowers

Two Australians

Catherine and I recently returned from three weeks of September in Western Australia where we were well looked after by International Park Tours.  The tour took us up to the Pilbara area via Kalbarri and Karijini National Parks.  We also visited the coral coast a couple of times for snorkelling adventures.  Lots of whales!

WA Wildflowers
From our two guides we learned much about the ancient geology of this area and the diversity of its flora and fauna.  The wildflowers were in great form and we enjoyed slipping down glasses of wine at sunset and into red canyons at times to enjoy the cool water.  WA is a huge area and the distances great. Big sky country!

Two of our fears, the heat and flies, didn't eventuate.  The temperatures were relatively warm temperate and the even on the warmer days there was a cooling breeze.  The company was admirable - a happy group. Our only problem was arriving back to hundreds of Emails.
